Fatigue Webinar Series Part 4: Weld Fatigue Life Prediction based on Volvo Method in Ansys nCode DesignLife (March 23, 2022)

This webinar, conducted on March 23, 2022, provides an overview of the Volvo method for weld fatigue life prediction. The Volvo method does not use the finite element model stresses for the fatigue life calculations. Instead DesignLife calculates weld stress using the finite element forces and moments at the weld locations (for shell models) and the linearized stress distribution through the structure thickness at the weld (for 3D solid element models).
